Silver is a more adaptable or ‘easy-going’ metal than gold. It gives you room for experimenting with different gems and weird and wonderful designs for silver jewellery. Wearing a unique pendant that expresses your personality and looks great will also serve as an icebreaker at parties and a fashion statement when you’re out on the town. Abstract Silver Jewellery

Really large pendants always draw the eye and look good combined with beads or gemstones, however you need to be choosy about which tops you wear with your chunky and funky silver jewellery, as it can often look ‘too much’ if your clothes also display bold designs. Ornate crosses and flowers have the dual-advantage of and eye-catching and go with most clothes, especially if combined with black gems or pearls. Aztec, Celtic or African designs also keep people intrigued and often have a spiritual meaning behind them which is a nice touch.
Rings
Along with your understated wedding and antique rings, keep a few bold rings to wear with your funky clothes. Coloured gemstones work well with silver and you can combine different stone colours and shapes on one thick silver ring. A large gem, such as an amber circle or square, can be effective if worn alone. Stylised animal and organic plant designs also translate well to silver rings.
Whatever unique silver jewellery designs you decide on, choose something because you think it suits you best and makes you comfortable not because it’s currently in fashion. If it looks right, it will instantly make the desired fashion statement. The catch about bold silver jewellery is that is sometimes has to be worn independently of your ‘staple’ jewellery, but it’s worth having a few pieces in your collection to be worn when you feel like something different.
