Diamonds are a very popular gem with the female gender. Selecting a diamond ring is not as simple as shape and size, as there are many other variables to be considered. There are special settings for your diamond ring that are obtainable in the market at the moment, which should also be used in contemplation.
There are many different settings available, among them the prong setting, which I describe below and will compare to other types of common settings. Women love this setting. This setting is generally used for engagement rings where there is only one diamond. At least three separate metal prongs secure the single stone at the middle of the engagement band. The Tension setting for gemstones. This diamond setting is a new trend. The tiny grooves that touch the diamonds are etched into the edges of the durable metal band. This beautiful setting should be custom made for the wearer.
The Bezel setting for gemstones. This type of setting is sturdy and acts to guard the gemstone. The metal band of your preference is wrapped around the diamond hence maintaining it firmly in place. Considering all the other diamond settings, the Bezel setting is the most durable setting. The metal band is an effect means of concealing imperfections contained in the diamond. This setting allows the diamond to appear larger than it is in reality. This type of setting prohibits the rough parts of the diamond from exposure and prevents it from being snagged on things.
The Bar setting for gemstones. The setting for this is rather similar to the prong setting commonly seen in diamonds. The metal group, looks similar to a road cemented or paved with diamonds.
The Bead setting for gemstones. With this setting, the stones are not right next to one another. It is possible to engrave diamonds right on the metal ring. The Flush setting for gemstones. This is one of the subtlest techniques in surroundings diamonds. The diamond stone is inset within the metal ring, making it at the same level as the edge. It protects the surface of larger sized diamonds.
