Engagement Ring Styles, etc.?
I will (hopefully) be getting engaged in the near future, and I’m just starting to think about rings. I’m not exactly a girly-girl (I don’t wear rings or dresses for the most part) so I’m not sure what will look good on me.
I have what I would define as kiddie-looking hands, you know, little hands, sausages for fingers (and I know it doesn’t help that I bite my nails, I swear I’m going to stop!). Does anyone know a style of ring that might look decent on this type of hand? I’d describe my style as pretty classic (I wear a single-diamond on a white gold necklace just about everyday), and I’m not really into loud/gaudy styles (much more the clean and classic). I’m afraid something big might have to be the way to go to size up to my sausage fingers.
Any thoughts?
I too am going to be getting engaged in the near future and I always thought I liked square or emerald cut diamonds- until I tried one on and hated it. the best advice I can give you is to go shop around- try on as many as you can stand (and yes, trust me after a while it gets a little annoying- my boyfriend and I spent about 3 hours looking one day and towards the end I was like enough already!!) point out a few that you like- maybe 3 or 4 and let him make the decision from there then you still get the element of surprise but also get something that you like and that looks good on you because lets face it- you will be wearing it for a long time (hopefully forever) and you want to get something you like and are proud to show off.
